Installation of Regional Director & Team of South West India Region
Dear Y's family members,
As we have completed 2 months of our activities, I would like to thank Almighty God for keeping everyone in our Region in good health and securing with his kind protection.
All the LRDs and DGs were doing their best to push forward the activities even in this adverse pandemic situation.
Within this very short period of time, we could see the rising enthusiasm of our members to implement many useful community service activities such as Free dialysis, free supply of nephro kits, medicard and arrangements for the supply of dialysis machines, etc. Clubs are also involved in several community service activities such as donating Televisions to students, supplying materials for COVID treatment to related centers.
Even though there are restrictions remaining in many of our localities clubs are conducting virtual meetings in a fantastic way with more participation of members. We hope that we will get the chance to conduct our physical meetings from the 21st of this month.
Almost all the districts had conducted their District councils in August and we had a Past RD's Forum meeting on 26th August and discussed how to handle the current situation. We also had a constitutional Regional council held on 30th August and we will have an extended council and RSD's training on 6th September.
Many thanks to those clubs who have submitted their half-yearly roster and remitted their 1st-semester dues. We remind the remaining clubs to submit the roster and pay their semester dues at the earliest.
As we are nearing our centennial, our main focus is to increase our membership to the maximum during this year. We have a 100 days campaign to promote our membership and YMI is also supporting us by reducing the per capita fee by 50% for 26 to 35 years age group and youth members and also for spouse members to become Y's women.
We also had many competitions conducted by the initiative of our Y's Lings, Youths, Y's Mentees, and Youth Mentors which is helping a lot to boost our image to a great extent.
My sincere thanks to all the Club officials and Leaders for all the support and may God bless you all
Ym. Mammen Oommen
To acknowledge the duty that accompanies every right. This motto was adopted by Y's Men because of the tendency of most people to insist upon full enjoyment of all rights while remaining oblivious to the corresponding duties giving validity to such rights. Just as the green light giving right of way to traffic on one street must have a corresponding red light to warn traffic on the cross-street of its duty to stop, so every right we enjoy is founded upon a corresponding duty.
Y's Men International (Y Service Clubs International) is oriented to serving the worldwide YMCA and the communities in which it is present throughout the world. The membership of the Association consists of affiliated local clubs known as Y's Men's Clubs, Y's Women's Clubs, Y's Men and Women's Clubs or Y Service Clubs.
Founded in Toledo, Ohio, USA in 1922 to support a local YMCA, Y’s Men International is now oriented to serving the worldwide YMCA, the largest non-governmental youth organisation, and through it the communities in which it is present throughout the world. Since the YMCA is usually known as “the Y” in the USA, and as the Y’s Men movement started there as a club of “men of and for the Y”, it was named the “Y’s Men’s Club”.

Judge Paul William Alexander
Y's Men's Club of EastCoast Fujairah presents the "Y's Men Hymn" video to the YsDOM. The project was initiated, realizing the need of standing up once again to re-assure ourselves for humanity at this time of pandemic. The lyrics written by our founder makes us reflect on the need to re-dedicate and commit ourselves for the betterment of mankind. This Ysmen hymn video was officially launched by our Regional director Ym HRM Mammen Oommen on Saturday 11th July during the ceremony of New office bearers' Installation of YMC Eastcoast-Fujairah. Thank each and everyone who worked for making of this video especially Yw Joice L Mathew, who initiated the project and Yl Parvathy Manu who sang it so beautifully...
